Invented the "2+1" fin configuration, which includes two short side fins to complement the longer center fin. This quickly became an industry standard
       

Established a licensee in Japan withYoshi Kishigami at the Decade Factory. Traveled to Japan 17 times to shape as many as 10 boards a day.

Created US and Soviet Flag board which was personally presented to Mikhail Gorbachev by George Orbelian

Created the first 4-man "synchronized surfing" longboard. At 14 feet, it was featured on Channel 5 news.
