Steven Newton is quiet and reserved, until you get him in the ocean where he likes to tear apart waves with a vengance. He let’s his surfing do the talking.

Started surfing at the age of 7. Steve lives in Capo Beach, Ca. His sponsors are Glas apparel, Powerbar and Stewart Surfboards. You can find Steve out at SanO or Lost Winds in San Clemente.

Last year Steven finished 2nd overall in the North American professional longboard series the PLA. Graduated from college in 2008, is now a full time professional surfer and has been surfing every day.

BL!SS magazine gave our 5 Fin S-winger a nice little write up.

Bill and son Kane Stewart headed down to Oceanside for the “Anything But 3” a event to showcase boards outside the realm of the traditional thruster. There was a lot of buzz around the stewart tent letting surfers test ride the new 5-Fin Swinger and the Fartknocker. At the event was a lot of stuff that had been done before, a lot of retro hippy trippy guys, stewart was there to show that there is also good riding 4 and 5 fin boards as well as showcase the quality craftsmanship put into our boards here at stewart.
