Custom 10” 0” balsa, redwood and foam Stewart. This board was shaped by Bill Stewart on July 5, 1988, and never surfed. The board was on display in the owner’s home. The board is 23 ½” wide and 3 ½” thick, with three ½”old growth redwood stringers, and the rails are capped with some really clean 4” balsa. Another really unique note on this board is that the balsa is chambered to lighten up the board. Bill had the help of none other than Dale Velzy on this project. Although as he puts it, Dale did the gabbing, and he did the work. Bill shaped this one of a kind board as a gift to one of his best friends and a fine longtime customer. This board really is a phenomenal deal as these woods get rarer and the shapers get older.
