Julie Whitgon stopped by today, fresh from her recent 1st place win at the 2010 Duke’s Ocean Festival to pick up her new winter board. Julie asked for a mid range board that paddled well and would handle big winter swells. Bill hand shaped a unique 7’3” E-type heavily modded fun shape. The board has beautiful curves,and a nice pulled nose. I see a lot of surfboards everyday, and this one really grabbed my attention. Bill is currently working on a new performance based fun board, diverting from the standard “egg” template. Also look for a new version of the ever popular Hydro Hull for 2011. This will be the first major change made to our most popular shape ever in a very long time. we will keep you posted. A hearty congratulations to Julie on her recent victory, she just keeps on winning! I wish I could say it was solely due to the Stewart boards she rides! Hah! Keep up the great work Julie, and be nice to the guys out there this winter in North County on your new board!
