Steve Newton, a top Stewart longboard surfer took 1st place at this years seafest contest sponsored by Timmy Patterson at the San Clemente Pier. The waves were small, but well formed. Steve took out some serious contenders in the final, including Mike Stidman, Josh Constable from Austrailia and Mitch Surman. No easy task by any means. We want to send out a hardy Congrats to Steve for his effort and wish him the best in his next endeavor in Peru. Do it again Steve in the land of the lefts!
